These courses are self-study, have no prerequisites, and use programmed learning textbooks that are accompanied with supplemental online study aids (available via WebVista). Both of the courses are two credits and include only five exams (one being the final exam) that you can take during our flexible testing times over an eight week period.

  • I think the overall course was really good. I learned a lot from this course and will be very helpful when communicating with a medical profession.
  • I loved this course. I have always been interested in how these words came to be, and now I have the knowledge to piece together and take apart many words in our language.
  • I feel so much more knowledgeable now whenever I hear diseases or treatments mentioned because I can actually understand what it is!
  • I would recommend this course for anyone going into any medical or science related course. It helped me a lot in understanding medical/scientific conversation and discussions my professors and other professionals had.
  • I really like how easy it was for me to work at my own pace to fit it in with other schooling and work.
  • I loved the course and content, I learned a lot more than expected and liked the pace and set-up.
  • I was so excited every time I studied because it made me think more and more about getting into medical school.
  • I have had this class described to me from other students as the class to take to understand House better
  • I truly enjoyed taking this course, and I learned so much more than I had ever anticipated. Now I can understand what they are saying on the medical shows such as Grey's Anatomy. Also learning the prefixes, roots, and suffixes allowed me to apply the learned terminology to words outside the medical field and figure out words I didn't recognize.
