Phar 3700:
Fundamentals of Pharmacotherapy

Prerequisite: Medical Terminology

This course is designed for students pursuing careers within the health care system that require the ability to review medication lists and/or work with health communication or documentation. The goal of this course is to provide students with a general understanding of drug therapy, including recognition of brand and generic drug names, their therapeutic classes and common uses.  In addition, the course develops basic proficiency in the use of drug information resources.

This course requires completion of 14 online modules, which include audio narrated presentations, study guides and self test questions.  There are five online, open resource exams and weekly drug information case assignments to assist in applying what you've learned.
